IBSchool World Magazine (IWM) is a periodical publication that informs the public of happenings and events as they occur at IBSchool.
Academic activities are in high gear at Ilesa Business School. We walked through the lecture rooms and saw students receiving lectures in preparation for the 2018 Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board. If you are a graduate, you will still love to be a student again seeing these students receiving lectures in a serene and conducive environments. The facilities here are world-class and the students are taking the best advantage of it.

After a brief lecture break, we approached one of the students of the school, Ibidapo Oluwadamilola Sarah, who is currently going through the IBSchool preparatory programme for JUPEB, to tell us her experience so far at IBSchool and the JUPEB programme
Sarah Oluwadamilola Ibidapo is a young Nigerian who completed her O’level Certificate exams in the year 2016. She is currently undergoing a preparatory class for A’level Certificate examination in Science (Engineering). She looks forwards to studying engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University at 200 level after her A’level programme; and also to use her entrepreneurial skills to create jobs in Nigeria. She is passionate and intelligent, and she is the deputy Governor of IBSchool A’level Class.
IWM Can I meet you?
Sarah: My name is Sarah Oluwadamilola Ibidapo. I am a science student Ilesa Business School.
IWM: What program are you running at IBSchool?
Sarah: I am going through JUPEB Preparatory program, an A ‘Level program that will get me admitted into 200 level at any university of my choice without writing JAMB after my graduation. It is a 2 semesters programme. My proposed course of study at university is civil engineering.
IWM: Life at IBschool! Ibschool is a world of its own, with its ways of life, values, culture, beliefs and vision. How have you been enjoying this world?
Sarah: MY study in IBSCHOOL has been fantastic. As you have rightly mentioned, it is another world entirely, I agree with that. I feel comfortable and convenient with this world of IBSchool. I am very happy to be here.
IWM: What are the goals you want to achieve that brought you to IBSchool?
Sarah: My purpose of coming here is to achieve a direct entry into 200 level at any university of my choice without writing JAMB. Also, to acquire entrepreneurial skills.
IWM: How has the school vision helped you in realizing your goals?
Sarah: The training being given to us at IBSchool is a world class and it prepares me to optimally tackle any advance level examination. Also, the IBSchool Entrepreneurship Development Programme prepares me to be self-employed because at the end of my study, I can decide to set up my own business. This in turn will help me to contributing to the growth of industry in Africa.
IWM: Ibschool is a world made up of students, lecturers, instructors, and management staff including Bursary and Registry departments. We are all working to make sure your goals of coming to IBSchool are achieved. Do you believe in our abilities? Do you trust our intentions?
Sarah: Yes I do. This is due largely to the response of the officials, academic and nonacademic with the sole purpose of helping us achieving our goals here. Actions, as they say, speak louder than words! Their actions and reactions to our needs give us more assurance that we will surely achieve what we are here for.
IWM: Do you see any of these departments doing excellently?
Sarah: Our lecturers are in charge of our academics and they are doing great. We also feel the impact of non-academic staff, the Registry and Bursary department even more.
IWM: About lecture delivery, If you are to rate your lecturers, how good are they performing in this area? Do you have any suggestion or recommendation you will like us to pass on to your lecturers?
Sarah: They are above average generally. At least more than 90% of the lecturers are doing great. Some of our lecturers need to be considerate in terms of workload and acceleration.
IWM: Do you have any suggestion or recommendation generally for the school management?
Sarah: Let the Management keep on doing the good job.
IWM: There are students like you out there who are on the UTME queue not knowing when the door of admission through JAMB will be opened. Will you recommend IBSchool preparatory programme for A’level certificate programme to them?
Sarah: Yes I will. I will surely recommend this class to my colleagues out there who are also in the position of taking this advantage.
IWM: As a student, what are the areas you can give IBSchool thumb-ups for the performance so far?
Sarah: The school is really doing great in the areas of academics and entrepreneurship. The training facilities are awesome; air-conditioned classroom with internet constant power supply and audio-visual aids classes.
